Built for young athletes navigating the wins, the losses, the nerves, the pressure—and everything they’re learning about themselves along the way.
A guided daily sports and lifestyle journal designed to help athletes build confidence, set goals, reflect on their performance, and develop habits that carry far beyond the game.
Next Rep started at home, but the ideas behind it were built through nearly two decades of coaching, teaching, and developing young athletes.
Brendan Erickson is a college basketball coach, former high school head coach, grassroots AAU coach, middle school educator, and youth sports Dad. Throughout his coaching career, he has helped dozens of athletes advance to play at the collegiate level, while experiencing firsthand what separates athletes who simply have talent from those who learn how to prepare, reflect, respond to adversity, and take ownership of their growth.
He created the 168 Routine around a simple time management idea: athletes have 168 hours every week, and the hours outside of practice and games matter too.
But Next Rep became personal when he saw his own daughter struggling with anxiety on the softball mound.
So he took the same principles he had spent years teaching athletes: preparation, confidence, accountability, reflection, and intentional work — and built something for her.
A journal.
And when it helped, the idea became bigger:
What if every young athlete had a tool like this?
That answer became Next Rep.
Whatever comes next, they’ll be ready for it.
One rep at a time.
Confidence. Discipline. Resilience. Ownership. Learning how to lose. Learning how to win. Learning how to get back up and try again.
We’re not just building better athletes.
We’re building stronger humans.
